Novak Construction served as the general contractor for Target’s new sortation center in Detroit, Michigan. The completed project included extensive exterior improvements, featuring new building signage, site furnishings, fencing, and parking lot enhancements designed to support facility operations and improve the overall site experience. Interior work encompassed a full warehouse build-out with new finishes, fixtures, and comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The project also included the construction of new multi-user and single-user restroom facilities, complete with modern fixtures and supporting MEP infrastructure.
In addition, Novak delivered new office spaces featuring private work areas, conference rooms, and employee lounge areas, all outfitted with upgraded finishes and building systems. The scope also included a complete tenant build-out of the TLMD space within an existing shell, incorporating architectural, electrical, and mechanical improvements to meet operational requirements as well as all applicable occupancy, life-safety, and egress standards.
