Novak Construction served as General Contractor for two interior remodel and build-out projects for Recreational Equipment, Inc, commonly known as REI. The stores’ interiors included new storage rooms, offices, learning centers, bike shops and sales floors with steel staircases and carpet throughout. The remodels also included front cash wrap areas with cedar wood trellises overhead, new restrooms, light fixtures, track lighting and concrete aisles around the perimeter of the stores.
At the Oakbrook Terrace location, customizations included aluminum storefronts and metal siding around the corners of the building. In addition, the existing climbing wall was demolished and replaced with a new mezzanine.
