Bill began his construction training at a very young age. His father and brother were both carpenters, who gradually taught him about the construction industry. He spent his spring and summer breaks from college working in an Exhibitions Display fabrication shop. He traveled across the country supervising the production of Exhibits in various convention centers.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science and Education Degree in 1978, Bill continued his construction career working in retail, commercial renovations, and computer facility construction in the Chicago land area.
In 1987, Bill joined the Novak Construction team as a Superintendent and in 1989, became a Project Manager. Bill has continued his education and safety training in construction and enjoys the opportunity to instruct OSHA safety training, as a Certified OSHA Outreach instructor. He also has received Storm Water Inspector Certifications and holds a City of Chicago Mason-Concrete License. Bill brings a wealth of practical experience and training to the construction team. He understands the complexity of diverse project conditions and construction risk management tools.
